In this course, we'll explore how our practices influence landscapes' resistance to drought. Central to resilience is healthy soil, acting as a water reservoir crucial for sustaining plant life during dry periods. We'll delve into soil structure, organic matter content, and fostering a diverse soil microbiome to enhance water retention. Through techniques like minimum tillage, composting, and promoting soil cover, participants will learn to build soil health, ensuring landscapes can thrive even in challenging drought conditions.
